Bromelain is a naturally occurring proteolytic enzyme complex derived from the stem of the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus). It supports the body’s normal digestive processes by helping break down dietary proteins into smaller components.

When taken with meals, bromelain supports healthy gastrointestinal function in a manner similar to the body’s own digestive enzymes, contributing to digestive comfort after eating.
